Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and commitment to improving upon South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) companies through an engagement while using the company's senior professionals at a strategic planning session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric examinations.
Of the 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% in the registered pupils within the instruction sector.
These learners attained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This indicates that the investment decision national government is making in the life of very poor and vulnerable small children is yielding a constructive effect in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe reported.
